The Right Steps to Face Globalization
The Right Steps to Face Globalization
Samuel SH-XIIA2-40
In the field of technology
and information, a step that can be taken is to filter good and useful
information. In addition, supervision is also needed from all parties so
that information circulating in the community does not have a negative impact,
especially for young people. The community must also try to follow the
development of science and technology so that it is not left behind from other
countries and is not easily fooled by information coming in from outside.
To reduce consumerism,
everyone should be aware of the life-style no-luxuries bermewah or can be done
by buying goods that are more affordable but have not much different qualities
like domestic products. This also relates to the economic field. To
reduce globalization can be done by increasing the production and quality of
domestic products in order to compete with outside products. The promotion
of local products through various mass media can also increase public knowledge
about domestic products and attract consumers to switch to local products.
The problems of
environmental pollution are more severe can also be avoided with a variety of
ways such as by reducing the use of substances that are harmful to the
environment, making the tool filters on chimneys, make landfills and wastewater
treatment as well as regenerate the forest as a natural filter .
In the field of culture,
people must be selective in choosing culture from outside by taking cultures
that are appropriate to local culture. Local culture must also be
reappointed by holding various exhibitions, seminars, cultural competitions,
and so on. Culture that has been passed down from generation to generation
must be preserved so that no part is left behind. To support this can also
be done by keeping historical places, cultural tourism, natural tourism, and
various things related to regional customs.
In the field of education
is also not much different. Education will never escape the interrelated
components of educators (teachers), students (students), parents (family), and
the environment. There are several things that need to be considered by
all these components in the face of globalization in the world of
education. Educators (teachers) have the main task of educating, teaching,
guiding, directing, training, assessing, and evaluating students in formal
education, basic education, and secondary education. The teacher is the
person who is responsible for increasing the student's morale and its
deterioration. Therefore, the teacher's assignment is not limited to
teaching activities but the most important thing is to print student
characters. By educating well, a good and critical character can be
formed. This character formation is needed so that students can respond
and filter the influence of globalization appropriately. This can also be strengthened
by the support of the family and the surrounding environment. These two
components must be stronger in instilling the values and norms in the
community because with this planting children will have more
nationalism. Supervision must also be done so that children are not easily
influenced by outsiders.
