Globalization is a kind of global social interaction which connect each other in order that an event which happens in different places can also make impact to another places. Globalization is, of course, supported by the evolving of technology , which in the end will make our life easier. We can also say that in the era of globalization, everything we do wil become much easier.

The causes of globalization:

1.     The development of information & technology

The evolving of information & technology make the financial transaction in every country gets easier. We can see that it’s getting more and more common to make international transaction through the website, just by one click of our mouse button.

2.     International co-operation

The more we do business with other neighbouring countries, the more we have international co-operation which in the end will boost other sector, like economy, financial, welfare, information technology and culture

3.     Easy access of transportation

With more international co-operation, of course it will cause a great impact in improving of access to easily distribute the commodities. The better ways or means of transportation will support the globalization as well.

4.     Open market

The co-operation between certain countries in the same continents or area to give easy access or open market for their commodities to easily enter each market will eventually support the globalization.

It is inevitable that globalization also has its positive and negative impacts, just like the two sides of a coin. The positive sides of globalizations are:

-       Easy access to gain information and knowledge

-       The improving of the social economy sectors

-       The evolving of technology, communication, transportation & information which will make our life easier.

While the negative impacts are:

-       The easy access of western culture which will greatly affect the local values

-       The positive value of local wisdom is getting ignored and replaced by indifference value from western

-       The disturbance into the surrounding environment and the heavy pollution

-       The smuggling of illegal or dangerous items

The negative impacts of globalization can affect our behaviour in our daily life. That is why we have to make a fine line to face it. Here are some guidance to take good care of ourselves from the negative impacts:

1.     We have to apply the moral value from our Pancasila into our daily life and strengthen our faith to God.

2.     Follow the rules in our faith according to our beliefs.

3.     Study diligently so we can make a difference between right or wrong

4.     Strengthen our nationalism

5.     Consider every action wisely so it won’t affect or disrupt ourselves or our surroundings

6.     Use our time wisely to do positive things

7.     Make friends with people with good moral values and not easily affected by the bad influence from our surroundings

8.     Apply the correct and just law supremacy

9.     Be selective with the impact of globalization in politics, ideology, economy, socio culture to our nation

 

Ways to success in era globalization :

1.     Open Minded

Try to be open-minded in any case as long as it's not harmful and not out of the norm. 

You can be friends with anyone, but still pay attention to the benefits of making friends with them. 

Remember, if there are still days and future ahead of you. 

Don't be afraid to make friends with many people.

2.     Good Character

Change your character to be able to develop in the era of globalization. 

Don't keep the bad habits that can make you lose in the future. 

There are so many bad habits that can harm you, for example laziness. 

Lazy is a bad habit,

lazy can make all work delayed and that means success is still very far from you. 

Change your lazy habit with discipline.

3.     Good Attitude

A positive attitude is something that goes deeper and has an effect beyond surface cheer. Negative attitudes promote fear, and a narrowing of focus and the mind, while positive attitudes do the opposite. No one should live in a constant state of “fight or flight”, but negative attitudes create exactly that scenario.

Studies have also shown that having a true positive attitude makes your view of life seem broad, full of possibilities. That view leads to actually living your life in a way that makes it natural to be exposed to and acquire new skills.

4.     Big Dreams

People who live in the era of globalization must have big dreams. 

Not only dreams but also work hard and not to give up. 

Don't look at other people flaws and try to improve yourself.

If globalization is a good thing, it should be able to survive our getting that choice. 

We must try to follow the era of globalization as long as it is good or we will be left behind.
